Last weekend the monobob and two-man bob races at the World Championships took place in Winterberg. Loren Djolo represented Team NewCold in the monobob discipline. Pilot Dave Wesselink and brakeman Jelen Franjić competed at the World Championships in the two-man bob.

On Saturday, the first two runs took place at the Winterberg track. Loren Djolo set the 25th time through her first monobob run. Through her second run, she climbed up two spots. Dave Wesselink and Jelen Franjić grabbed the 19th spot in the rankings through their first run. The men's second run was faster, but due to stronger competition they dropped to 21st place.

Loren Djolo started Sunday with a 23rd place which she had set by the two runs on Saturday. Her third run did not go as planned. During this run, Loren got too high in a corner which made her crash. This also resulted in her finishing last at the Monobob World Championships. Team NewCold's two-man bob remained in 21st place after their third run. A better fourth run moved them up two spots and they eventually finished 19th in the world.
Two-woman bobsleigh and four-man bobsleigh
This Friday, Saturday and Sunday, pilots Loren Djolo and Dave Wesselink along with their brakemen will also compete in other disciplines of the World Championships. Loren in the two-woman bob and Dave in the four-man bob. Below is the schedule for these competition days.
